The 7th International Conference on Responsible Tourism in Destinations will be opened by the President of Barcelona Province and the Minister for Enterprise and Employment . There is a 25% early booking discount. One of the highlights will be the Conference Field Visit to L’Estartit with the experts who are restoring the local environment and regenerating the resort – the next stage is top remove the foundations of the foundations of the halted Pletera resort development. The day ends with a round table discussion about regeneration and will include Martin Brackenbury who played a major role in the Calvia, Majorca, regeneration. Responsible Tourism Awards are being launched the ICRT Barcelona & Catalunya, the Observatori de Turisme Responsable and partners will take from the tried-and-tested experience of the World Responsible Tourism Awards to recognise responsible tourism enterprises in Catalunya through the giving of responsible tourism awards.
