Sudan Tourism Fair strengthens its position on the international map
Sudan International University Awarded f yesterday, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors Ritaj and Managing Director, Mohammed bin Aljohre bin Saeed Al Mohammed an Honorary Doctorate degree in tourism and in recognition of his contribution in establishing the concepts of tourism in the Arab and Muslim worlds.
the certificate was given to him by Assistant President of Sudan Abdulrahman AlSadiq AlMahdi bin in the inauguration ceremony of the first Sudan international exhibition for sightseeing and shopping in Khartoum and place under the slogan “clean tourism to the development of society” in the with the presence of senior officials from both inside and outside Sudan.
The Assistant President expressed his appreciation for the effort in the counties in tourism sector in Sudan. he reviewed tourist possibilities Sudan, revealing that the government has set up a Council of Antiquities to promote the discovery and conservation effects. He added that the exhibition comes at the height of the growing attention to tourism, archaeological and wildlife in the Sudan.
Dr. Mohammed in a speech after receiving the certificate Qatar companies Ritaj is considered one of the shareholders in the exhibition, as part of the strategy to sponsor Sudan international Expo for tourism and marketing .hoping that the exhibition establishes the outline of the concept and the ingredients to attract Arab and international tourists to Sudan in particular by reviewing some views on tourism at the international level, stressing tourism, Aljohre said the “the strategic partnership comes as part of the existing cooperation between the Republic of the Sudan and Qatar under the sponsorship under His leadership and Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani and Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir. “
He explained that the exhibition aims to put a real foundation for the Sudanese presence in the global tourism market and will increase the flow of foreign tourist to the country within the controls and mechanisms to ensure and show that tourism in Sudan a safe and comfortable environment.
He also expressed his hope that the exhibition to lay the foundations that will stimulate international tourism and the Arab and Sudanese in particular using a professional tourist methodology. He noted that Sudan has a huge potential in the field of tourism.
For his part, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities and Wildlife Mohamed Abdulkarim Alhidd that Sudan and according to the classification World Tourism Organization UNWTO represents one of the most important ten countries have potential in tourism is enormous, and explained that the goal of the exhibition is a foundation for a global role in the field of market and tourism industry through international and regional exhibition and encourage domestic tourism and increasing foreign tourist arrival.
For his part, Chairman of the Arab Tourism Organization Dr. Bandar bin Fahd Al Fahid talked about
the importance of supporting and developing the tourism sector in Sudan, calling it the great tourism potential owner. Added that Sudan in 2012 attracted about a million tourists spending volume up to one billion dollars.
